Temple Grounds Service Opportunity Instructions

Volunteers should wear clothing to work outside: long pants, closed-toe shoes, gardening gloves, and a hat, if desired.  They may bring a water bottle, kneeling pad, or knee pads. All necessary tools will be provided.  Volunteers should be able to dig, lift, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.  They should meet at the grounds shop located in the southeast corner of the underground parking garage.

Oakcrest Clean Up

Meet at Oakcrest at 9am on Saturday 5/17 until Noon.  Working outside to clean up the camp.  Please wear appropriate attire and things like water, gloves, hat, etc.  Oakcrest is about an hour and 15 minute drive from here.

Beaver Ridge Camp Clean Up

Saturday June 7th from 6:45am to Noon

3 Volunteers Needed

We will leave the Stake Center at 6:45 AM. We will need at least 1 truck or trailer that is capable of hauling sand/gravel, to camp and debris away.  We will need 3-4 drivers. 

Each volunteer will need gloves, safety glasses, appropriate clothing, sunscreen, snacks and lunch. The camp supervisors will provide donuts and water.

Tools needed: 

First Aid Kit, Chainsaws (with knowledgeable operators), Pole Saws, Hedge Trimmers & Pruning shears, Rakes, Shovels, Brooms, Wheelbarrows, Weed Eaters.
